Quail Drive Residences Update
This week at our Quail Drive No. 2 Residence we have completed the window installation and are starting to work on the Stucco Corners and Edge Beading with Soffits being installed as well.
In the above image, we are standing in what will become the kitchen/living room and you can see some of the ducting/wires that have been installed in the ceiling. As you can see, this home will have lots of natural light with big picture windows letting in beautiful morning light.
As with many industries, it is still difficult to get certain materials, so when some become available, we jump on the opportunity. As we are starting to close up this home, installing Soffits and Edge Beading are essential to keep the wind and rain out as we move into Autumn.
Soffits are the material beneath the eaves of your home that connect the far edge of your roof to your exterior wall. These tend to be vented and are essential in the creation of your home.
Stucco Corners and Edge Beading allow for everything to be fully sealed between your roof and exterior/interior walls. These allow us to produce perfectly straight corners, while protecting and reinforcing the plaster in the corners.
In both this home and Quail Drive No. 1, we are working with Florida Power and Light to complete the Electrical Rough-In over the next three weeks. This allows our homes to be connected to the electrical grid, allowing us to start installing more elements of this home.
At the top of the above image we can see part of the large Cathedral-style ceiling that is going to have exposed beams once completed. We at Holliday Group work closely with Origin to install their beautiful doors and windows that are highly quality and will stand-up to all forms of weather. They have a wide variety of windows and doors to choose from, so you can find the perfect type for your new home.
We also have gas piping being installed today and tomorrow, which is essential to install before we begin sealing up the interior walls. Check back next week to see how these projects are going and for an update on Quail Drive No.1.
