Tommy Bahamas restaurant on St. Armand’s Circle is a lively and energetic restaurant with tons of wood and natural light. Originally the store was located on the restaurant’s bottom level, but was later moved to a few doors down the circle, which Holliday Group had the pleasure of building as well.

The Challenge

Complex permitting and compliance requirements for energy efficiency, fire protection, and accessibility can delay approvals and increase costs.

The Strategy

Early Collaboration: Engage local building officials, architects, and engineers early in the design phase to preempt regulatory issues.
BIM (Building Information Modeling): Use BIM to simulate code compliance, identify conflicts (e.g., HVAC vs. sprinkler layouts), and streamline design reviews.

Dedicated Compliance Manager: Assign a team member to track permit timelines, inspection milestones, and documentation for accountability
