An Indoor/Outdoor Space Filled with Light + Art
Mandeville Beer Garden is a creative indoor/outdoor space for beer lovers everywhere. Holliday Group completed a renovation of an existing commercial building to create a new interior and exterior beer garden and restaurant including a 20+ tap Micro Matic beer dispensing system. We also added in new coolers, a new kitchen, bar, and bathroom.
The Challenge
Complex permitting and compliance requirements for energy efficiency, fire protection, and accessibility can delay approvals and increase costs.
The Strategy
- Early Collaboration: Engage local building officials, architects, and engineers early in the design phase to preempt regulatory issues.
- BIM (Building Information Modeling): Use BIM to simulate code compliance, identify conflicts (e.g., HVAC vs. sprinkler layouts), and streamline design reviews.
Dedicated Compliance Manager: Assign a team member to track permit timelines, inspection milestones, and documentation for accountability.
